Let's Nourish...

your daily life

Bad days will still hit, but you reach for support and not old behaviours. Trauma is still part of your history, but not affecting your everyday reality. You have confidence to dream and achieve.

your relationships

No more walking on eggshells. Instead of conflict, you feel connection safe enough to be your real self.

your nervous system

You're not constantly on edge buzzing with stress and hypervigilance. No more spiraling back to old patterns.

your mind

Your inner critic is softer. Instead of self-sabotage, you have thoughts that actually support your confidence and happiness.

Your body

You move because it feels good, not because you have to. You eat when hungry, stop when full, and actually trust yourself.

Ways to actually communicate with your family without it turning into a disaster (if applicable)

Clear progress on your goals and confidence that you can handle things on your own

Trust in yourself to deal with challenges without falling back into the same old patterns

What comes after:

The first 90 days are about getting to the whole you - not just your symptoms, but your story. We'll build trust so you feel safe to be real, then connect the dots between your current struggles and patterns underneath, then start making real change.

At 90 days, we assess your identified treatment goals' progress. We can always check in on your goals sooner, but either way, you'll know exactly where you stand and what comes next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Simple. You want a therapist who can handle your whole story, the complicated, messy stuff, and really see you as a whole person. You might be new to therapy, or you might have tried multiple approaches before. Either way, you're not looking for someone who will just let you skate by. I'm the kind of therapist who's genuinely curious about your whole story. I'm warm but direct, and I'll ask questions that help you see things differently.

How do I know if this is the right fit for me?

1. I want to work myself out of a job so you don’t have to keep coming for sessions forever. My goal is to help you eventually handle life without needing me and become your own therapist in a sense.

2. I work to see the whole you and can connect the dots. Some therapists want to only focus on one thing – anxiety, depression, family dynamics, trauma, coping mechanisms, etc. But your brain didn’t get that memo, and up there, it’s all connected. Instead of tackling them each separately, I can work with you as a whole person and see how they are woven together so we can untangle them and heal.

3. I'm trained in multiple approaches like EFFT (Emotion Focused Family Therapy) and CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) for PTSD, which means I can handle the messy, complicated stuff that makes other therapists uncomfortable. I keep my caseload small so I can focus on helping you make breakthroughs and real changes, rather than just fitting you into a packed schedule.

What makes you different from other therapists?

I can work in-person with clients living in Irvine, CA, Newport Beach, CA and surrounding areas of Orange County. I can also offer telehealth sessions for clients residing in California or Utah.

What areas of Southern California do you cover?

Yes. In California and Utah.

Do you offer telehealth/online sessions?

45-60 minutes. This gives us long enough to cover some ground, but not so long that you are drained for the day.

How long are sessions?

I work primarily with teens (13+) and adults. I offer both individual therapy and the option to extend to family therapy to bring in your parents, siblings, or partner as it relates to your own healing.

What age clients do you work with?

Yep, I do. I will be open and honest with you about whether you could benefit from more intensive support. Depending on your stage of recovery, I recommend having a whole outpatient treatment team, including a registered dietitian and primary care physician. If you need referrals, I’ve got you covered!

Do you work with people still in eating disorder recovery?

No, I don't take insurance. And that can be good news: more flexibility. That means no waiting for an insurance company to decide if you “qualify” for help, no “10 sessions only” limits, so I can focus on what you need instead of only what insurance thinks you are qualified for.

I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use the tool below to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.

If you qualify, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim and have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year. You can sign up using this link:

Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation.

If you don't want to use Mentaya I can provide Superbills (aka fancy receipts) for you to submit to your insurance on your own. Just ask me if you want one. Little warning: It is your responsibility to figure out with your insurance what out-of-network benefits you have and what they will cover.

I do have a few reduced-fee spots available each year for those who need them.
