Share your current struggles and what you want to change. We’ll start understanding how everything connects. (If I’m not the best fit for you, let me know and I’ll be happy to help you find someone who is.)

What comes after:
The first 90 days are about getting to the whole you - not just your symptoms, but your story. We'll build trust so you feel safe to be real, then connect the dots between your current struggles and patterns underneath, then start making real change.
At 90 days, we assess your identified treatment goals' progress. We can always check in on your goals sooner, but either way, you'll know exactly where you stand and what comes next.
Simple. You want a therapist who can handle your whole story, the complicated, messy stuff, and really see you as a whole person. You might be new to therapy, or you might have tried multiple approaches before. Either way, you're not looking for someone who will just let you skate by. I'm the kind of therapist who's genuinely curious about your whole story. I'm warm but direct, and I'll ask questions that help you see things differently.
1. I want to work myself out of a job so you don’t have to keep coming for sessions forever. My goal is to help you eventually handle life without needing me and become your own therapist in a sense.
2. I work to see the whole you and can connect the dots. Some therapists want to only focus on one thing – anxiety, depression, family dynamics, trauma, coping mechanisms, etc. But your brain didn’t get that memo, and up there, it’s all connected. Instead of tackling them each separately, I can work with you as a whole person and see how they are woven together so we can untangle them and heal.
3. I'm trained in multiple approaches like EFFT (Emotion Focused Family Therapy) and trauma processing, which means I can handle the messy, complicated stuff that makes other therapists uncomfortable. I keep my caseload small so I can focus on helping you make breakthroughs and real changes, rather than just fitting you into a packed schedule.
It’s normal to be hesitant. I can talk through your concerns or fears, and we can figure out how to move safely and slowly at your pace. So, come as you are - confused, resistant, skeptical, whatever. Some sessions you'll have breakthroughs, others you'll just cry. And at some we might laugh. It’s all part of the process. If you want to heal, therapy can help.
It depends on what you're dealing with and what you want to change, but I've worked with really complex situations before, so I know how to help you get there efficiently. Somepeople feel better and see shifts within 3 months (12 weeks) of weekly sessions and are ready to either meet less often or wrap up completely within 6-12 months.
Yes. In California and Utah.
45-60 minutes. This gives us long enough to cover some ground, but not so long that you are drained for the day.
I work primarily with teens (13+) and adults. I offer both individual therapy and the option to extend to family therapy to bring in your parents, siblings, or partner as it relates to your own healing.
Yep, I do. I will be open and honest with you about whether you could benefit from more intensive support. Depending on your stage of recovery, I recommend having a whole outpatient treatment team, including a registered dietitian and primary care physician. If you need referrals, I’ve got you covered!
No, I don't take insurance. And that can be good news: more flexibility. That means no waiting for an insurance company to decide if you “qualify” for help, no “10 sessions only” limits, so I can focus on what you need instead of only what insurance thinks you are qualified for.
I can provide Superbills (aka fancy receipts) to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Just ask me if you want one. Little warning: It is your responsibility to figure out with your insurance what out-of-network benefits you have and what they will cover.
I do have a few reduced-fee spots available each year for those who need them.
I can work in-person with clients living in Irvine, CA, Newport Beach, CA and surrounding areas of Orange County. I can also offer telehealth sessions for clients residing in California or Utah.
